I finished the first motif of the 8 motif flower cluster doily!!! What was I thinking!!! I have 7 more to go plus one centre flower doily! Its a good thing my kids had an eye check-up today so we had to cut school and visit the doctor which led me to finish the first motif what with fastening off the ends too!! So I am looking at something liek 1 week per motif as I slow down when i have to join motifs :) So my doily should be done in about 8 weeks !!! jus kidding lol I think I am more eager to see if the doily is worth all the loose ends that I have to weave in ...

I wonder where the week went.... I had a lovely week at school where I teach . We were preparing for our school annual day and so were working with the kids to practice for their programmes. I didn't get much done on the crochet front. Still working on the round ripple afghan and flower cluster doily . Both are for the crochet alongs at crochetville! I have also entered a crochet contest at The CrochetClub on EZBoard:) The deadline is feb 6th and I am planning on making a heart suncatcher:)

As I was doing my daily rounds of the blogs I saw this at Marvies crochet corner:)

Well guys I am sort of back after a long break!!! I set myself goals for this year instead of the usual resolutions which are never kept anyway:) So my goal for the blog is that I would blog daily with atleast a howdy :)

So here I am saying a big hello to all my crochet friends on the net! I have been working on some gifts (idea from the crochetville message board) and I find it very rewarding to know that I don't have to do the eleventh hour thingy for crocheting the gift for a friend or relative!!!

I have already started with making the potpourri sachets one for each month along with... (more)

HI after a period of inactivity I have now come here to present my own crochet jewelry set (a choker a bracelet and a pair of earrings ) The choker pattern is from Julie Bolduc's site Just plain fun crochet and the bracelet is also a pattern from the web but can't remember where and my notes are incomplete in that aspect :( The earrings are the free pattern provided at the Crochet! magazine site.

Also I am in the process of changing my ISP (once again) and I am not sure when I can get back online . So till then keep smiling and keep crocheting :)

Am so tickled by this blog thingy that I wanted to create more stuff to show off!lol:) I should have used some old pictures but nah.. I want a reason now to stop my wip and start another (yeah right like I need a hole in the head)... So here it is a pair of beaded earrings made with gold zari thread (here in India folks use this for embriodery ) and some faceted red beads.

Couldn't get a nice picture cause of the flash and I didn't know how to turn it off :)

My next project to get posted on my blog is the cradle purse:) I have been wanting to make these for my daughter for a while now and so I took a break from my coconut purses and decided to make her one! I wanted to finish it before she got back from school but couldn't :(

I still had lots of fun as my daughter wanted to know what I was making and I wouldn't tell her lol.
It was funny to hear her guesses!

I have been asked by my friend to make these drawstring purses. Whats so unusual about them is that the bases are coconut shells!
My friend punches holes on the edge of the shell and I use my size 20 thread and crochet into it. So far I have made 16 of them . the latest I heard is that they are selling well :)
